You can mix and match paper refills, calendars, sketching pads, and more, as long as they stay within the size range.

are the journals refillable?

Yes, all our leather journals are fully refillable by design. This means you don’t need to replace the entire journal once you’ve filled your pages, just swap in a new paper refill, and continue writing.

Each journal comes with elastic ribbons that hold your refills securely inside. You can add more ribbons to hold additional refills, for example, to combine a notebook with a planner or sketchbook. This flexible system lets you customise your journal to fit your needs, whether you use one refill or several.

We offer a wide range of refills in different layouts (plain, ruled, dotted, illustrated) and formats, so you can make it truly yours.

what kind of leather do you use?

We use premium vegetable-tanned leather, sourced from our long-standing partner tannery in Italy. Unlike chrome-tanned leather, vegetable tanning uses natural tannins extracted from plants. This traditional method takes longer but it’s worth it.

Why? Because it results in leather that is more durable, more natural, and completely free of harmful chemicals. It ages beautifully, developing a rich patina over time, meaning your journal becomes more unique the more you use it. It’s leather with a conscience, made to last for years, not seasons.

what can I fit inside each journal?

grand voyageur: 2 book refills (thicker) or 4 notebook refills (thinner). It's compact but surprisingly roomy thanks to the flexible elastic ribbon system.

le portfolio: holds up to 3 book refills or 6 notebook refills, with built-in leather pockets to store cards, papers, or pens, ideal for work and travel.

le trifold: our most spacious journal, it fits up to 6 book refills with its extra fold of leather, protective trifold structure, and multiple ribbon slots.
