What can I customise?
We offer more than 100, 000 possible combinations! You can customise your leather journal by choosing the format, leather colour (including special editions), adding a flap to create a trifold design, selecting different pocket colours and linings, add custom embossing in several placements. The possibilities are endless!
how long does production take?
Every custom journal is handcrafted in our workshop with attention to detail and a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship. Because of this, production can take up to 8 weeks. We’ll notify you as soon as your order is ready to ship. If you select express shipping, it applies only to the delivery time, not the production itself.
Product sustainability
All unsere Lederprodukte werden in unserer Werkstatt in Wien aus feinstem pflanzlich gegerbtem Vachetta-Leder handgefertigt. Unser Leder stammt aus einer familiengeführten Gerberei in der Toskana, Italien. Es ist vom Konsortium für original italienisches pflanzlich gegerbtes Leder (Pelle al Vegetale) zertifiziert. Das bedeutet, dass die Häute ausschließlich mit natürlichen Rohstoffen in einem traditionellen, nachhaltigen Verfahren gegerbt werden. Bei der Gerbung wird kein Chrom verwendet.
Wir setzen uns leidenschaftlich für Nachhaltigkeit ein und arbeiten aktiv daran, Überproduktion zu reduzieren. Aus diesem Grund kann es passieren, dass wir einige unserer Produkte vorübergehend nicht auf Lager haben. Vielen Dank, dass du mit uns gemeinsam an einer nachhaltigeren Zukunft arbeitest.
Wir verwenden ausschließlich säurefreies, FSC- sowie PEFC-zertifiziertes Papier, das auf nachhaltige Weise in Europa hergestellt wird. Unsere Papiernotizbücher werden in Wien mit umweltfreundlichen, pflanzlichen Druckfarben gedruckt.

Please note that since our l'atelier creations are custom-made just for you, we’re unable to accept returns on these items. However, if you have any concerns with your order, feel free to reach out—we’re here to help!
how many refills can I add to my journal?
The number of refills depends on the number of ribbons inside your journal. One ribbon holds up to two refills, two ribbons can hold up to four. You can always add more ribbons and fit more refills depending on the type of your journal.
can I change my order after placing it?
Once your order is placed, it goes into production quickly. If you need to make changes, you can cancel your order within 24 hours and place a new one. After 24 hours, our artisans begin crafting your journal, and modifications are no longer possible. At l'atelier each piece is made to order with great care, which is why we cannot make changes once production has started.
