Join an intimate portrait drawing workshop with artist Gabriel Espinal, dedicated to the foundations of expressive, dynamic portraiture.

During this two-hour session at la maison, Gabriel will guide you through the essential principles behind a strong portrait, from facial proportions and structure to composition and expression. The workshop begins with an introduction to the fundamentals, before moving into live demonstrations where Gabriel will create portraits of participants in real time and share his process as he draws.

You’ll then bring these ideas onto the page through guided exercises, with individual feedback throughout the session. Designed for beginners, the workshop offers a relaxed and inspiring space to observe, practise, and build confidence in your own drawing.

By the end of the workshop, you will have explored how structure, movement and expression can bring a face to life on paper.
