options to grow your seed card

in the soil

Tear the wet paper into pieces, spread them on a seedbed with finely crumbled soil, cover with a thin layer of soil, and water thoroughly. Keep consistently moist so the seeds can germinate and penetrate the paper.

Be patient, because it can take a while before the first sprouts emerge from the soil.

in a pot

You can also pre-germinate the seed paper in a pot indoors.

Cut the paper into pieces, then place them in a pot filled with potting soil and cover with a very thin layer of soil. Water thoroughly and keep the soil consistently moist in a bright, warm location, as this is the only way the seeds can germinate and subsequently push through the paper.

If the small plants are strong enough by mid-May, they can be moved to the garden or balcony.

on a plate

Place the paper on a plate and lightly cover it with water. It's best to then cover it with foil or a glass lid to retain the moisture. You can also keep the paper moist over the next few days by spraying it with water using a spray bottle.

After a few days, the first sprouts will appear. Now you can carefully transfer the paper to a seedbed filled with fine-textured soil. Keep it consistently moist until the seedlings are well rooted.
