Contemporary Music at la maison: A Room of One’s Own by between feathers

In this intimate contemporary music concert, Vienna-based ensemble between feathers presents the fourth edition of A Room of One’s Own, featuring flute, accordion, paper, everyday objects, and improvisations inspired by visual art. The programme includes a new work by Atousa Falamarzian, created especially for the performance at la maison and developed with paper as a central material, alongside works by Yulan Yu, Luxa Mart*in Schüttler, Malin Bång, and Sarah Nemtsov.

analogue photography workshop

In this hands-on workshop with photographer, curator, and co-director of ROTLICHT. Festival for Analog Photography, Michael Laubsch, you’ll explore the full journey of analogue photography. Starting with the basics – aperture, shutter speed, and ISO – you’ll then head out to capture street scenes in central Vienna.

Join us at la maison for a hands-on workshop where you'll create your own grand voyageur leather journal from start to finish.

Guided by Daniel from the paper republic team, you'll assemble your journal by hand, discover the craftsmanship behind our products, and personalise it with your own embossing. By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a unique companion for travel, creativity, and everyday life, made entirely by you.

Evening talk: Real Community

What does community really mean beyond the buzzword?

In this evening talk, the founder of Matriarchive reflects on building a genuine creative collective of over 40 women working across architecture, art, photography, design, and research. Through the story of Matriarchive and its first physical home in Vienna, the conversation explores how meaningful communities are created through shared commitment, care, and collaboration, not marketing.

Print your own tote-bag

In this workshop, textile designer Christiane Wery from prater&stern will introduce you to stencil screen printing. You will choose from a curated selection of paper republic and prater&stern motifs, then work with a colour palette inspired by paper republic to create your final design.

Specialty coffee tasting with GOTA Coffee

For this workshop, GOTA joins us at the communal table for a guided coffee cupping. Markus or Lukas will introduce you to the professional tasting method used to evaluate specialty coffees, as you compare coffees from different origins and discover how processing and roasting shape their unique flavours.

Collage diary workshop: Pieces of My Everyday

A hands-on collage workshop with Liza Borovskaya-Brodskaya exploring collage as a form of visual diary-writing. Through cutting, layering and combining paper, participants will transform everyday moments and observations into personal artworks while embracing intuition and creative freedom.
