What’s Included
Your bundle includes a grand voyageur leather journal, handcrafted in Vienna from vegetable-tanned leather and available in [pocket], [xl], and [a4] sizes. It features a set of three illustrated book refills with exclusive designs by The Dybdahl Co.: animal companions, reef, and Japan, each with plain, dotted, and ruled pages. The additional ribbon loop is to add the refills securely in your new companion.
Fit Recommendation
For the most comfortable writing experience, we recommend adding two book refills at a time. Including all three may cause the pages to extend slightly beyond the leather cover.

Our special edition debuts the beloved book series featuring printed covers with select illustrations in collaboration with our friends at The Dybdahl Co.
The illustrations are spread across the front and back covers, giving each side its own composition, whilst making a bigger piece when the book is opened.

We were enchanted by these beautifully reimagined illustrations, sourced from antique books found in archives, which brought together unlikely animal pairings and transformed them into delightful and surprising fauna families.

the reef collection
We loved the colourful playfulness of the illustrations as discovered in a book from the early 1800s.
The fish depicted, from left to right, are:
the Blotched Bigeye (Priacanthus Carolinus), the Clown Triggerfish (Balistoides conspicillum) and the Little Longhorn Cowfish (Ostracion Cornutus).
the Japan collection
We were struck by the elegant delicacy and powerful simplicity of these Japanese illustrations dating from the early 1800s.
They depict some of the most identifiable motifs in Japanese culture:
Waves off the coast of the island, the imposing Mt. Fuji and the imperial flower, the Chrysanthemum.

Our book refills have been made for writers and fountain-pen lovers. We selected the best 120 g/m² paper, offering close to no bleed-through and feathering, as well as great drying time.
